Compile SVN from source

I downloaded the latest nightly build from subversion, and i wanted to build the project with the build.xml (located in the launch directory). When i try to create such a project from an Ant Buildfile via Eclipse i get the following error:

'Specified buildfile does not contain a javac task'.

If i open the build.xml file i see various javac task. Does anyone know if this is something Eclipse specific? Or is something broken in the subversion package?
