Adding Global Attributes to Decision Tree Miner Log
Hi,
I am trying to play around with the Decision tree functionality and to understand how to create the input variables for the predictive modelling. The only example I have seen (decisionminerexamplelog.xml) contains predictor variables "Amount" and "Status" but these are defined only at certain events in the log. If I have some global information on the case, like "Amount" defined above but I don't know where this variable is used in the decision process (i.e. I dont know to associate this information with a particular event in the log) does the Decision Tree Miner or another tool in Prom allow me to put in these global variables and then tell me where they are used along the process?

Hi,
Did you try the work of de Leoni et al.? See for instance

Hope this helps!

Currently, the decision miner does not directly support trace attributes. But there is a simple workaround. You can use the plugin: "Copy trace attributes to the 1st event" of the LogEnhancement package to make a copy of all the trace attributes in the respective first events of all traces.

Hi,
Many thanks for the reply but I'm not sure that workaround is applicable for my use case. What if I do not know which event to associate the trace attribute with ?
Howdy, Stranger!
