Plugins for cost and performance analysis

Hi all,

I have some problems with understanding the provided plugins by ProM. I use ProM 6.4.1 and ProM 5.4 to be able to use different plugins. I want to analyze costs and some performances. Now, performance-plugins are fairly available, but I look for a specific one called "Log Performance Matrix". I can't find it anywhere, maybe someone has a hint for me?

I've also found a plugin for cost analysis called "Cost-based analysis". The problem here is, that it is only available for ProM 6.0. So, I've downloaded 6.0 and tried to download all plugins with the package manager. There is one problem, the repository-link is pointing to the old server-path. So in the ProM.ini I changed the path to "http://www.promtools.org/prom6/packages/" (for ProM 6.4.1 it is http://www.promtools.org/prom6/packages641/). With that, the package manager is downloading all the plugins but then, ProM 6.0 will not start! Does somebody have any idea why it`s not working? I have installed Java 8 32- & 64-bit, Java 7 32- & 64-bit and Java 6 32-bit.

It would be really nice if someone could help me.

Thank you guys.

Best regards,
Selcuk

  • Dear Selcuk,

The log performance matrix is a visualization of an alignment result. To obtain it, run the 'align log on model for conformance/performance analysis' and then in the top right, select the matrix as a visualization.

Regarding your ProM 6.0 issue, the meaning of package URLs has changed slightly. For ProM 6.0 use the following package URL:

    http://www.promtools.org/prom6/packages60/

http://www.promtools.org/prom6/packages/ is now pointing to the nightly build (and therefore regularly changing) package repository.

  • Thank you Buijs.

But in the http://www.promtools.org/prom6/packages60/ there is no Cost-based analysis plugin. How can I use it?

    Best regards,

  • Dear Selcuk,

I'm not really sure which plug-in you mean, and what your source is.

You might want to try the 'align log on model for conformance/performance analysis' available in ProM 6.4.1. and ProM 6.5 (which has been released since my last post).

If this is not the plug-in you're looking for, please provide more insights into what plug-in you are looking for exactly.
