Geo-temporal process mining ...
Tim Darr just posted this on the ProM-users mailing list:
I am new to the process mining field and have a general idea
of how the alpha-algorithm works. I am looking at a problem in which the tasks
/ events in the process to be discovered have temporal and geo-spatial extent.
I can see how the geo-spatial features can be incorporated into the task itself
(i.e., task-1-at-location-x, task-2-at-location-x, task-1-at-location-y), but
was wondering if there is an algorithm that explicitly takes into account the
geo-spatial properties of a task.
Thanks,
Tim Darr

Tim,
As far as I know there is no such plug-in in ProM 5 and/or ProM 6.
It would however be a very nice idea to implement such a plug-in in ProM 6. Using XES extensions to record the location of each event (/task) and displaying this on a map should not be hard.
A very interesting idea and I hope that someone who reads this discussion picks it up and lets us know!Joos Buijs
