error when uploading file

Hi,
If it has not been installed already, you can try to install the JAXB package first and then try it again.
Otherwise, please run ProM using the ProM*.bat file in the folder where you have installed ProM and try again. This will throw the same error, but not the command prompt that opened when running ProM this way contains valuable information on what caused the error. If you could then upload the last relevant part of this information here, this would help us to find the root cause.
Kind regards,
Eric.

Hello Hverbeek,
Thank you for your quick response. I am currently running ProM using the
.bat
file, as I use Eclipse for Java development and cannot run it with the.exe
file. For some context, I am trying to use ProM on my company laptop, which does not support Oracle. I have Eclipse (2024) with Java 8 installed. Unfortunately, I was unable to install IvyDE and Subclipse because my Eclipse version cannot locate the packages as described on the ProM website.
While the
.bat
files work fine, I frequently encounter the following issues:- An error (
java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
) when importing files. - A timeout error in the Package Manager when installing packages.
- The JAXB package is missing in the Package Manager.
Would you recommend installing an older version of Eclipse, or do you think the issue lies elsewhere?

Hi,
If you are already running ProM from the .bat file, then a command prompt should already pop up when you start ProM. Please check this command prompt for relevant messages.
Which version of ProM are you using?
Kind regards,
Eric.
