How to read the result from "Replay a Log on Petri Net for Comformance Analysis" plug-in

Hello PROM community,

I am new to PROM and I have a question about conformance checking. I have played around with "Replay a Log on Petri Net for Conformance Analysis" plug-in. But I don't how to read the result correctly.

I downloaded the example files from http://www.processmining.org/online/conformance_checker
I have tried Log_L3.xml and M1_nonFitting.pnml as inputs to the plug-in.
I got the result as in attachment picture, my questions are

- "Rot border means move on model > 0", what does mean to the result? Is it good or bad?
- What are the meaning of "Synchronous move" and "Move on model" ?
- How can I read from the result that "Where are deviated paths or activities?"

I would be glad if anybody could help me to understand this. Thank you in advance, Ammi.

  • Hi Ammi,

There are several sources where you can find more information:
    - the scientific papers from Adriansyah et al
    - the Coursera MOOC on process mining: https://coursera.org/learn/procmin
    - and I believe this is also explained somewhere on these forums.

So I think with a quick search you can find  your answers.
